To guide the residents of the Bornheim district into the residential building, the long bar opens to Ringelstreet. A large square is created, which serves as a meeting point and guides the community into the outdoor area. In addition, there are two quieter outdoor spaces on the north and south of the property. Now the four bodies, in which living space is offered, define the formation between these places.

The principle of “sharing, the new luxury of living” extends to all floors of the building: from shared washrooms and workshops on the ground floor to common rooms on the upper floors. In the middle building, the floors are accessed via a free-standing staircase in the atrium. Interactions between the residents not only take place in the common room, while for example cooking together but also in the hallways before the residents enter their own private space.

To fit into the urban context of the Bornheim district in Frankfurt, the edge of the block of the two surrounding streets will be closed in the development of the design.
